A university-trained percussionist, Japanese creative somebody Yasukazu Sato gained attention for his international tours as composer for the groundbreaking dance mathematical radical Sankaijuku. His unusual combination of ancient Oriental forms, wide musical atmospheres, and ceremonial occasion percussion provided arrant co-occurrence to the ritualistic movements and tardily flowering gymnastic feats of this modern Japanese dance company. He has overly scored respective award-winning Japanese films, performed with American nothingness saxist Wayne Shorter and Japanese synthesiser Himekami, and recorded a number of imaginative solo albums.
